    DC 40 light and manoeuvrable.

    For a second hand product the DC 40 VACUUM ,about 8 years old , is working well, after a thorough cleaning of the filters, hose and brush head. The brush head is the most important part to clean and using information on the internet it is easy to do. The only minor flaw is it is not sitting upright so one has to prop it up to use the long hose in the handle. I have been using a DC 04 for the past 20 years and is model is lighter and more manoeuvrable.

    Lower Power than previous model

    We have had a Dyson for many years but recently changed to a newer model. This newer version has lost a lot of suction power when compared to the last one. It takes a lot longer to hoover our carpet as it needs to go over the same area several times. I actually wish I had repaired the old one now. Very disappointed, and don't feel I would buy another of this brand.

    My first Dyson

    My daughter had kept nagging me to get a Dyson as hers is so good. I have just purchased my first one and I am so delighted with it. My carpets look like new, and I was horrified at the amount of dirt that came out. It is very easy to use, quite quiet and stores away easily. Well done Dyson and thank you.

    A Brilliant Buy

    I have 5 cats that are in and out of the house all day. it wasn't until I got this vacuum cleaner that I found out exactly how much hair and dirt gets left on the floor, It really surprised me. My other vacuum cleaner didn't have anywhere near the suction this has and so my carpets never really looked clean. I hated vacuuming and found it a chore until I got this one Now I don't have to spend so much time and get really good results. It's easy to manoeuvre and not to heavy. Emptying is a breeze. One of the best things I have ever bought.

    Fails to supply the Power

    Certainty a good hoover but lifting power just isn't there, tried hoovering some sawdust and straw, (New Rabbit) and it was an abysmal effort very little in the way of Suction even with the Hose. I eventually used the Old Hoover DC 04 that I put a new Motor and Brush Head on few years back, much better cleared the Sawdust & Straw in 1 pass. I know the EU ordered the output of these items were restricted, but it can't be down to just reduced power ?? I don't rate the Dyson DC40 Animal
