Pleasantly surprised - what’s the worst that can happen?
I don’t often write reviews but if like me you are presently sceptical about the efficacy of a product that costs less than two pints and could replace a £200 dehumidifier you are about to be very pleased. To give background I live in a period listed property we are not allowed double glazing. There is not a major damp problem beyond heavy condensation on windows if it’s damp or particularly cold. This product silently removes 80% of the problem without needing a plug or electricity Bill worries. I have one in each bedroom room now, having experimented with a single purchase. In case you are wondering, the damp is captured into a gel that falls to the bottom as a blue product. This way it can’t be rereleased in to the room when temperature rises. I put this on the window sill but they are ... Found this unit next to useless.
I shouldn't have expected too much from something so cheap, but thought I would try this before going all in with a robust dehumidifier. This was next to useless. I had my hygrometer within 2 feet of this unit and it never changed reading for days (well, except for the expected up and down by 1-2% which it does regardless. My recommendation would be to put your money towards a proper dehumidifier. I had to get one eventually and it took the humidity down from 74% to 50% in about six hours. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay for your health.I shouldn't have expected too much from something so cheap, but thought I would try this before going all in with a robust dehumidifier. Thought I’d try this as I didn’t want a electric plug in humidifier and have been impressed with how effective it’s been already. Started drawing in moisture after the strayed 12hr and have not seen any moisture buildup on my windows. Very happy with product.
