Fantastic DVD.
I purchased this DVD for my son (aged 5 months) to watch in order to free me up to grab a bit of lunch or a cup of tea. I wanted to put something on which would be stimulating for him rather than falling into the trap of CBeebies. It was an instant success and one which has allowed me the occassional 10 mins of hands free time to tend to my own needs. Its similar to flashcards in that there is not lots of moving images, its all very relaxed and calm compared to other programmes that can be loud and very flashy. It has songs, numbers and alphabets spoken in numerous languages. Initially I didn't understand why this was the case but it seems to reaaly catch the little ones attention so it must be good. Also I have found I am picking up some basic language skills in the languages used. All in ... This is a very visually stimulating dvd for youngsters although from a parental perspective many of the different languages that are spoken on it become quite irritating when they are so frequently repeated and you don't have a clue what they are saying! One has to ask - how beneficial is that to a youngster who is still trying to grasp the basics of the English language - let alone a whole new foreign one! Having said all that it is light-hearted, colourful fun and buys you those few precious extra minutes while the child is occupied - what can be wrong with that?This is a very visually stimulating dvd for youngsters although from a parental perspective many of the different languages that are spoken on it become quite irritating when they are so frequently repeated and you don't have a clue what they are saying! Keeps my baby busy for 15 min at least
Very good for my 9 m.o. baby. Interesting for me too. Simple pictures and easy to guess foreign words. I hope it will help to develop her language abilities too but at the moment it is just very entertaining.

Great educational dvd for my baby
I really love this dvd, it's perfect for engaging my child's attention. Even when my child is not watching the dvd directly I know he's taking in the varied language sounds from this dvd.
