Disappointing
The book would be really interesting if it had illustrations, as was shown in the advertisement. This is a book about plants (some very familiar, some quite rare), which you can eat, but without any illustrations it loses all its value. How do you identify these plants? I was very disappointed, as I had really wanted such a reference book. I shall attempt to track down an edition with pictures, while I send this copy to a charity shop.The book would be really interesting if it had illustrations, as was shown in the advertisement. disappointed..overpriced
bought for my brother as a Christmas gift...I was disappointed as it had no illustrations and you would have to rely on written descriptions to identify plants...gave it but had to buy an illustrated guide as well (different author). Overpriced.

Anew look at useful plants
It contains many unexpected remedies from overlooked wild plants, classified as 'weeds'. Ironically the word 'weed' originally meant a poisonous or medicinal plant. I'm reassured to see the 'old' wisdom is stil being preserved. My only disappointment was that there are no illustrations whatsoever. I regard thiese as an essential part of the available information for any plant identification compilation.It contains many unexpected remedies from overlooked wild plants, classified as 'weeds'. Really good information on lots of "normal" plants you can see every day. BUT it does not contain any photos which makes foraging more difficult. You need the book and a mobile device.
