A fascinating autobiography of Joan Baez - honest and moving.
I have been revisiting a lot of old folk songs recently and singing past Joan Baez favourites such as Geordie and House Carpenter. I also bought Ring Them Bells Cd which is brilliant. This book "And a Voice to Sing With" was better than expected. Joan Baez writes honestly about her life, both personal and professional. There are great accounts of her concerts, her relationships, and her contribution to "Non-Violence" politics. She has done a lot of great work and put herself in some dangerous situations to further the cause of peace in the world.
