Metal kettle whistle replaced as plastic One melten on kerosene stove. No washers for the nut & bolt so found 2. The metal bit included looks like it is to stop the nut & bolt from squeezing the bracket on the kettle. Will not fit needed filing & is hard metal & does not file or cut easy. The 2 holes are obscured by it. Metal would have been better if fashioned into a U shape rather then V shape. The Chinese bodgers strike again. A good hour wasted. See images.
