    Shaving with a straight razor

    These alum sticks are ideal for what ever razor you use. If you nick yourself the immediately stop the bleed. I loved going to the barbers for the whole works. Shave, hair wash, hot towel and hair cut. Sometimes the razor nicked my skin. But these alum sticks did there job. I know use a straight razo and always have one of these on stand by just in case.

    Great little item

    Husband takes a blood thinning medicine so if he gets a cut he bleeds really bad. this item puts a film on the cut and seals it . stings when applying it . It was recommended to us by someone whose grandad used to be a barber and he used them . Only downside is it hasn't got a cover so we put cling film on it.

    Great blood stopper

    Just started using safety razor which gives a better shave than anything. Little nicks were annoying and hard to stop bleeding. This stick does the job in seconds. Just wet it and place over cut, a little sting and it stops. No tissue paper needed ever again, good product.

    Alum stick

    Brilliant for stopping bleeding after shaving. I remember my dad using one years ago but was surprised they were still made. My husband takes blood thinners so has trouble stopping bleeding when he nicks himself but this works every time. Btilliant

    Works perfectly. These will last years , I've had them ages now and haven't used 1 up yet . Really fast action and stops small cuts and Nick's bleeding in seconds. If like me your going back to old traditional razors and shaving methods then these will help with the small nicks and cuts
