Replacement like for like
The old one finally gave up so replaced it with this, all was fine Except the water had a funny plastic type taste, seems other RH kettles had the same issue. There is a small red plastic level indicator inside and this seemed to be the source of the funny taste. Removed it and now much improved but not perfect, time will tell.

Good quality kettle
We chose this kettle because it fitted the style and colour scheme in our kitchen. It’s a good quality kettle and boils the water quickly - it should do, it’s 3kw! A good feature is the volume markers inside as these allow you to boil as little as one cup of water.

Lovely kettle, with annoying problems!
This is the third one of these I have bought in the last 6 years. Although I love the design, there were two main problems: 1) it is very noisy. 2) The top of the lid snaps off!. The first lid only lasted a year, but was replaced under the guarantee, the second lasted 3 years. I am pleased that the latest model/version is much quieter, but how long the lid lasts, remains to be seen!

Some small criticisms of design Difficult to see water level in indicator in some lighting conditions Has black mains cord and plug. White would have been better. For left handed users power indicator light always faces away from user. Why is it designed this way? Light should be at rear near switch.Quiet and quick good value...looks good. Almost too quiet. Pleasant to look at and boils quickly.
This is the third one I have had of this kettle.I don’t like jug kettles so each time I need a new one I order this one so I have a stand by.It is hard to get traditional kettle shape in white or cream.I have always been very satisfied with it.
