I couldn't decide between two stars or three, and on reflection two would have been harsh. I understand this unit is a chiller and NOT a fridge, even though it is marketed as a fridge. A chiller or fridge has one job; chill items. If it doesn't achieve that goal it simply becomes an expensive plastic storage box. So how does the Subcold chiller hold up? I've used mine a half dozen times now and at the very best it just takes the edge off a warm bottle of drink. Is the bottle ever ice cold? Nope, nowhere near ice cold. Is the bottled chilled? Yes, but only very slightly. Imagine you have a warm bottle of coke and you run it under a cold tap for a few minutes. The bottle of coke would certainly not be ice cold, but it would be slightly cooler. This is the level of cooling you get from a ... Nice little fridge
Bit worried by some of the reviews but could not see anything better so took a punt. So far so good. Cools really well and very quiet. Enough room for 2 lots of 2 pints of milk plus a carton of juice and a few bars of chocolate which is what I needed it for. We are staying at Premier Inns on hols and just wanted cornflakes and juice for breakfast. Fridge is perfect for this.
