I believe that this is overpriced for what it is, and the very cheap method of manufacture. When dispensing paracetamol caplets (the long, flat ones) they were often broken in half. This is because the surface that pushes on the caplet is slightly rounded and has a raised joint line, this makes it easy for the pushing bit to go off centre.
