Panasonic camera easy to use.
I found this camera one of the simplistic to use. Very compact and feels comfortable in your hand. The fact that it has a view finder and it's own chargeable battery and not them AA batteries makes it abetter buy.

A great camera for the money which could be the start of your photo future.
I have owned the FZ18 the FZ28 the FZ38 and the FZ100 so i have a good idea of what to expect from the Panasonic Lumix range of bridge cameras. The FZ18 is now out of date but in my opinion it is difficult to get any better for the money. It's trump card is Panasonic's OIS Optical Image Stabilisation which is fantastic. Don't get hung up on number of pixels, 8mp is plenty for the average user and will produce decent enlargments. Video is also good and gets progressivley better as you move through the lumix range. Do not expect good low light performance as with all Panasonic FZ cameras they do suffer more noise than there rivals, and they cannot compete with the bigger sensors in DSLR's so just deal with it! The Leica lens is excellent in good light and has the ability to produce ... I have owned the FZ18 the FZ28 the FZ38 and the FZ100 so i have a good idea of what to expect from the Panasonic Lumix range of bridge cameras. Overall you get great value for money, you can get creative but you are limited by a narrow band of aperture control. There are lots of add-ons and converters available but i would stick to a set of ND filters and a polarizing filter. I would recommend this camera and perhaps see it as a stepping stone to some of the later models with full HD video and stereo sound like the FZ38 and in particular the FZ100 which is what i currently use along side my SLR.

Love this camera
If you are looking for something more than a pocket camera with easy to use features, super zoom you can't beat this camera. I have used it for a few years and love it. I have owned many cameras but this one is fabulous. Highly recommend. Light weight, good grip, excellent color rendition with many easy to use and understand settings for special scenes ( snow, inside, pets etc) NOT a great camera for inside photography as most digital small cameras, it is best used outside. For the money, you can't find a better camera in my opinion.If you are looking for something more than a pocket camera with easy to use features, super zoom you can't beat this camera. excellent camera with good zoom range. ISO range large but with all such cameras the higher the iso the more noise. picture quality good. Camera simple to use as a point and shoot but with plenty of programes and manual options for more creative picture taking. the more you use it and explore its capabilities the better you will get
