It's the real article.
Does what it says. Connectors vary in shape, this ones "V" shaped, others can be cylindrical, oblong. Anything to do with Apple is inconsistent except the overpricing of their products. You pay your money and takes the choice. It's good.

Rubbish product. I bought this last week and i have used it twice. on the third time, it's completely gone. no power coming through it at all. just stopped working. It would just get incredibly HOT to the point where i could not pick it up. you SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED to write the word "APPLE ORIGINAL" in the listing title as this is not a genuine apple original product. It doesn't matter how many you have sold, and how many people have had no problem with it, for me, this is total rubbish! BUY CHEAP... BUY TWICE!!!Rubbish product. I bought this last week and i have used it twice. on the third time, it's completely gone. no power coming through it at all. just stopped working. So called Genuine Apple charge
Recent studies in the UK and America have shown that an utterly stupifying percentage of these are NOT genuine. The figure is north of 80%! The fundamental differences are not simply build/component quality but design and function. The genuine article is so designed that it is a switching supply device that senses if it is connected to a genuine Mac laptop. Both devices perform a diagnostic 'handshake' and only then does the charger supply the necessary output to charge the battery/power the laptop and any connected external devices that need power. In the event that the supply cord is disconnected from the laptop, the supply output is instantly terminated. The internal design of the PCB and component layout ensures that there is virtually no risk of an internal short, since the high ... The last Apple charger I purchased (John Lewis) in 2016 was £85. There is a reason for the price other than profit!

I bought the Magsafe 85w charger,stated to be genuine Apple....and by Jove,it IS! A jolly good job it's doing,too-no lag,no stutter,no iffy magnetic connection,no dodgy wiring,it's the GENUINE ARTICLE and its worth every penny! Now,I don't give praise easily-so for me to praise this item PROVES it's the 'bees knees'!!It says it's 'genuine Apple',but you receive an 'iffy' charger..BEEN there,hmm? Well not with THIS company you haven't! I bought the Magsafe 85w charger,stated to be genuine Apple....and by Jove,it IS! The quality of the product appeared good.I should have purchased the 64W so the plug was incorrect..My mistake so didn't send it back..Puchased the right one which works fine with absolutely no probs ..This is sold at half the price offered direct from Apple..All the markings look right it works right so I can only guess it is original and not a copy.
