These filters are a definite improvement on the old type With the old ones the first day or so the water had a sort of bitter taste Not so with these Immediate fresh tasting water resulted

A water filter, not to be used for filtering the red out of diesel and recolouring it green.
It filters water, just as it was designed too. I wonder what genius decided to get a review on it. Were they expecting the nationally certified water to come out in some obscure colour or taste like wine. As for cleaning I was unaware it could be cleaned. I thought it was a one of use and throw away item as no instructions for cleaning were included. Do I cut it open, wash whats inside and reseal it some how. It filters water, just as it was designed too. I wonder what genius decided to get a review on it. Were they expecting the nationally certified water to come out in some obscure colour or taste like wine. As for cleaning I was unaware it could be cleaned. Expensive but do a good job.
Pretty good, we have very hard water and a Brita filter works well to stop the scum on top of tea and coffee. They also keep the glass kettle nice and clean between its regular cleans with white vinegar. They're supposed to last 4 weeks but I find they tend to stop working as well after about 3 weeks, which is still a good week longer than the compatible water filters.

new brita maxtra + filters are even better than the old model,don't drink water much,only use in cordial and tea and coffee, but after having a glass of this filtered water it was very good no bad tastesit filters out all that fluoride taste etc very good,water still tasted fresh even after cartridge expiry time
