The last pair of scales I owned were those that come with a bowel as a lid, with a red arrow indicating the weight, you get the picture. Completely put me off baking. Well now that were in the 21st Century, I thought here's one of those things I need that I haven't got around to buying for years. The price is ridicoulous, so inexpensive, as for functionality, place what ever you want on the scales, bowel, cup, saucepan, measuring jug that your using, and press 'On Tare' and the scales will calculate the weight of the container and reset to zero, add your ingredients and watch the number rise, simple This will measure in grams, Oz or even measures your liquids in ml everything and more highly recommended a must for every kitchen. Can't imagine being without them, what did I use before? oh I ... I consider myself to be approaching the category of an expert when it comes to owning digital scales. I have purchased loads of scales over the last few years and often find that they pack up after a few months due to the regular use. I love baking along with my 5 grandchildren and so accurate, easy to use kitchen scales are a must. This item is a good compact size witch is able to bear a greater weight than most of the scales I have owned. As well as baking, I like to have a go at selling on a well known auction site and I have found these scales to be really useful for weighing a range of strange shaped packages in order to purchase online postage. I particularly like the fact that these can be hung on the wall in my kitchen where they are readily accessible and don't take up worktop ...
