ONE MURDER. FIFTEEN SUSPECTS. CAN YOU UNCOVER THE TRUTH? There is a mystery to solve in the sleepy town of Lower Lockwood. It starts with the arrival of two secretive newcomers, and ends with a tragic death. Law students Charlotte and Femi have been assigned to the case. Someone has already been sent to prison for murder, but they suspect that they are innocent. And that far darker secrets have yet to be revealed... Throughout the amateur dramatics society's disastrous staging of All My Sons and the shady charity appeal for a little girl's cancer treatment, the murderer hid in plain sight. • Complicated but fascinating

I bought this book because I read a good review. The story is presented as a series of emails, memos, minutes and notes. There is no ongoing narrative. I found it difficult to follow at first but I think I've got the hang of it. There is a large cast of characters and remembering who is who is a challenge. Also keeping an eye on various groups, who is on who's side together with more than one back story add to the challenge. I nearly gave up but I am enjoying it.

  • Interesting concept to tell a story.

An interesting concept, the covid enquiry makes it contemporary with the search of emails etc.. A novel way of telling a straightforward whodunnit.
