A bargain if you're prepared to do a bit of preparation
The price for this product is reflected in its quality. I was unable to "simply hammer it into the soil"It isn't robust enough for that. However,by linking all the components together,laying them out in the designated place,I was able to make a very narrow hole of sufficient depth to accept the spikes . A bit of a fact but we'll worth the effort,they look really well in situ,and are a great bargain if a little time is spent on preparing the ground and back filling.The price for this product is reflected in its quality. Very poorly designed
Product too flimsy to hammer into anything but very soft ground. Main problem though is that the pieces have to be joined by the slots from underneath, not as expected by placing in one at a time from above. We had to join 4 or 5 pieces beforehand and then try to hammer them in. Finally gave up and didn't bother with them and ordered something more substantial.

Disappointed
Firstly I ordered two brown coloured boxes of edging and received one brown and one green :( and secondly the fittings do not stay together very well when you are trying to put the panels into the ground with one end popping up when you put pressure on the other, they are not as sturdy as I thought they may of been and would not recommend this product as I was not getting the desired straight edge I was looking for . perfect for purpose
with garden on a slight slope so have a raised flower border. It was constantly being disturbed by birds making a mess on the path but this edging allowed birds to access the border and keeps the path clear

Good value product
Unless the soil where the edging is to be installed is very soft, a small pilot hole needs to be made. The are however easy to install thereafter and are fit for purpose . I used mine to separate a gravel area from a soil border and am happy with result
