    Solid product with a shortish handle which will get very warm in use.

    The handle is quite short & made of cast iron, so gets very warm during use. An oven glove is recommended for handling/lifting when cooking. Otherwise a solid product. Mine had a slight imperfection in the casting process, which extended all the way throught the cooking base, but can't comment on other similar products manufactured by Von Shef.

    Rubbish..There is a big rough spot on the frying surface and pre-seasoning partially came off after first use despite me following instructions to the tee. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of sending it back so i've wasted my time and money.

    These pans have hardly changed from the days they were used by my dear mother many years ago. Her one is still in use by my sister 50 years on. This skillet is almost identical, very strong and well made. They are far removed from the run of the mill Teflon job and a delight to use. I can't see how anyone could be disappointed with this addition to your cook set. With care, it could last you for years. A great buy for the money.

    Great skillet for the money

    Works a treat big enough for 2 steaks on my induction hob, is preseasoned too, although I had received Seasoned it after use ( cooked a coq au vin first off in it so very acidic) , even survived a drop too, excellent product ....
