The item on the picture is not the same as the item they sent me. I bought 2 packets and one used but then realised is not the same. As I used decide to keep the one but other one to return. They offer 15% refunds for something is not correct. Ending up open a case to return one that is unpacked , but it seems there is not response for a while. EBay will step in and hopefully will help. AVOID THIS SELLER

Compact and good quality.
This is great for leaving connected to my project car in the garage to stop the battery draining. It's compact and the leads are long enough to comfortably reach the car from the mains socket. Although the battery is heavy duty this charger keeps it topped up enough to start up without jumping.

Okay for occasional use
Only for smaller batteries, ie motorcycle batteries and small car batteries. Struggles to charge larger batteries. Do not leave on charge overnight, as it gets worryingly hot to touch. Flimsy crocodile clips and wire, which easily comes away from the soldered joint and has to be reattached. Also wire is quite short, so may have to extend yourself. Okay for a cheap and occasional charger.

Another black lump
Simple plug and play battery charger. No LEDs to go wrong, 12v only, no fuse to replace. Provides 1/2 amp of electrical power to keep car batteries topped up, I use mine to power a 12ah battery to use an old car minidisc player, its adequate for this purpose. Nice insulated clips.

OK for the price works OK however the quality of the connectors leaves a lot to be desired had to reconnect after second time of use. It dose the job on keeping a small battery charged on a vintage car but it tends to get warm when left for any time so need to keep an eye on it not just leave it plugged in as fear of fire

Worked fine. Gave it 14 hours to make sure and battery is fully topped up. Why pay so much more for something that does the same job, charges your battery, didn't get hot and has stowed away nicely. Thanks.
