    One of my best companions

    Great handy size, excellent screen resolution, even enough drive space for dozen movies. The operating system gets regular updates, Cache gets loaded at times but is easily cleaned out This is the second nexus 7 2013 we have in our household and would not be without them.

    Beware

    I'm afraid that these machines are no good if they have been updated to the 5.1 Android operating system. They become so slow with this update that they simply don't work as one would expect. It is next to impossible to down-grade them as a novice and so my advice is do not buy these machines unless you know what you are doing.

    Works very well, great screen, but only if left running on early Android as original

    Very good if left running on Kitkat Android 4.4 but do NOT upgrade or it will become unusably slow and once upgraded you cannot go back (without a huge amount of trouble which, if you do not do it right - very easy to not do it right - will make the tablet irretrievably dead.) Leave it on Kitkat and then it gives great performance, but is no longer supported so may be insecure.

    Nexus 7 Replacement Motherboards

    The fixed1t Nexus 7 replacement motherboards offer a cheap and effective solution for crashed or damaged Nexus 7 2012 8GB, 16GB or 32GB motherboards. As with all fixed1t Nexus 7 2012 2nd user spare parts, each motherboard is expertly removed from its original Not For Repair Nexus 7 tablet as can be seen in the accompanying videos on the youtube fixed1t pages. The cross compatibility between the Nexus 7 2012 shell and its components means that a 32GB motherboard can be used to upgrade a Nexus 7 2012 8GB and 16 GB devices to 32GB. This is not possible in a lot of other devices, The Nexus 7 is a fast and cost effective solution, very much ahead of its time and performs equally well today against most newcomers despite its age.
