Murder at Christmas
Midsomer Murders is like an old friend, reliable and safe. It doesn't even matter if you have seen the episodes before or after as each one is a story in its own right. If you have followed them all then you do have a better understanding of how human and ordinary DCI Barnaby is. The murder rate for such a rural setting is high but you never have the impression of it being out of context or too far fetched. In fact the setting helps as the characters are closely linked unlike city crimes where the detectives have to make outstanding leaps of deduction in order to progress. This particular collection is no exception to the format and I will watch it again and again often forgetting who dunnit! The introduction of well known faces doesn't make much impact on me, if they act ... Midsomer Murders is like an old friend, reliable and safe. As little as possible of the gore is shown, mostly you have to imagine the worst but this works well. A perfect family viewing or a wet night, hot chocolate and biscuits occasion.

Always loved Midsummer nights murders. Especially with actor Jason Hughes. But everyone who has been with Barnaby is brilliant All actors are excellent. Great show so engaging l do not like it when the adverts are on has the show is that good haha.
