    mixed bag

    Sound quality is good but noise suppression could be better. Headband should expand more to be fully comfortable for larger heads. Weight is just about low enough for comfort, should be a bit less. On balance it is OK rather than great.

    Excellent quality,performance and price.

    I bought these for use when I go into hospital for what is likely to be a long stay. At present I have only used them for short periods, in passive mode they do eliminate a lot of background noise but when used to listen to an audio source such as an ipod or DVD player it is very difficult to discern any background noise at all.They produce a good sound and unlike some of their competitors continue to play the sound source when the battery goes flat albeit at a lower sound level and without the noise cancelling function. The battery lasts for about 50 hours so just keep a spare in the well designed carry case.I tried a pair of Bose Quietcomfort 15's and personally think the ATH-ANC7B's are better for sound quality and sound cancelling performance.     Quality noise-cancelling cans

    These do the noise-cancelling job beautifully. One drawback is the sensitivity to cellphone signals. If yuour phone isd nearby, you hear the occasional brief bleep-click-click sound as the phone communicates with the cell tower. For useing on the plane it's not a problem of course, because your phone should be in "airplane mode" and observe radio silence, and even on one of the newfangled longhaul planes that allow the use of cellphones, the noise (even if substanially attenuated) still drowns it out. I'd say, definitely get these, unless you plan to use them with your phone!

    Very happy with this product

    Overall I'm very very happy with the headphones. I like the audio quality either with or without noise cancelling turned on ! I would only like a few mm larger size.

    Superb performance and excellent quality.

    I brought these to replace some old ones that were starting to get worn. Having just used them on a six hour flight I have to say they are quite superb. The reduction in aircraft noise was much better than my previous pair, but then again these were somewhat more expensive. Good dynamic range, comfortable and wearable for a few hours at a time. The carry case is well made, although a bit bulky to tuck in the seat back pocket if you are short of legroom. It does have a loop which you could put a cord in and hang off the coat hook though. Overall a great set of headphones that really do cut out the noise and good value too. Top off with the fact that you can get replacement ear pads, I doubt they would disappoint anyone looking for noise cancelling headphones.
