Lovely book, spoiled by loads of white space and faint typeface of a small size.
As someone who worked in publishing in Oxford, I have a good idea of lay-out. This book has a lot of white space, the typeface used is both small and faint and it makes for a 77 year old, difficult reading. They could have used a nicer and larger typeface and some of the white space to make it easier to read. That said, the photographs and illustrations are lovely and the actual macrame content of the book with so many different items to make, is excellent. I have written to the publishers and have had a response, advising me that my concerns will be put to the publishing team.As someone who worked in publishing in Oxford, I have a good idea of lay-out.
