This is a quite a hard plastic and tightly rolled. It didn't go flat after several days unrolled. I used an iron on it (through a cloth) which improved its lay flat properties, but ridges remain from the rolling. So depends what you want to use this for and how important that is to you. But not so good as a table top protector.
