    Plain cast iron effect parasol base

    No Regrets. Nice item. Quite heavy enough but I should have taken the height of the table's lower shelf into account. However, it was easily sorted.

    Missing piece

    Base was all scuffed as though it has previously been used. Large gasket was missing so assembly was not possible until I managed to go to B &Q and found suitable replacements. Had to buy in packet - more than needed. Bolt would not screw into base as thread was not 'clean' my husband had to use reaming tool on it so it would fit. Would have returned the item but wanted it for the HOT weather.

    Nice surprise

    Thought it would be just a lump of metal, but it turned out to be plastic coated. Looks great. Hope the coating lasts with movement and doesn't scrape off. Upright tube a bit thin and tinny but does the job.

    Parasol base

    Very sturdy and attractive parasol base. Easy to put together and arrived very promptly. It can get very windy where we live, so we went for the heavier version of this base and are very pleased with it.
