The toothbrush is steady in my hand and doesn't slip like I've read in other reviews elsewhere. It turns on at the touch of a button and gives a brief pause every 30 seconds to alert to change the side of teeth being focussed on. While it doesn't turn off automatically, which I would have expected, I use another 30 seconds after all 4 sides to clean my tongue and rub over the tops of teeth all around. The only other negative is that it comes with a European charging base so I've had to spend £8 to buy a UK one. I'll also buy some spare heads so that I'm prepared for when the colour on the existing one changes to alert me that it needs replacing. I used my daughter's charger and now it's blinking red for a short while when I turn it off to show that it needs a recharge.
