    great for photoshop and light video editing 4k

    editing photos was a bliss with machine on the go ( which did drain the battery much fast of course about 3 hours worth with the balance settings on max of course you could use battery saver to get longer times but the screen brightness was needed for my line of work, editing video at 1080p had no issues and i was very impressed with 4k it took a little longer to render compared to my desktop which is acceptable. i used mac most my life and this has now taken the top place and i will never look back only issue which is extremely minor and thats you really need to use the type cover with this otherwise it can be arkward when you want to use shift commands etc but thats more of my personal opinion. if you looking for this i would defiantly recommend if your looking for a machine to handle ...

    very loud laptop with mediocre battery life

    The device throttles the fan on in low temps and thus is silent e.g. only when off. If you use more than one tabs open in a browser( excl. edge) the temp rises above 50 degrees when the fan kicks on. And if you watch movies from your service provider or Youtube( incl. edge), there is no hope for the fan to stay silent. I've seen/heard the i5 to be more silent and more useful so the extra power the i7 provides gets totally wasted if not docking the laptop far enough from your visinity. I can't recommend this laptop to normal user as there are cheaper, as fast, as light and sleek devices available that are silent in normal use. I tried the Pro4 with same specks and it has the same problem so avoid i7.

    Versatile work tool

    I use the surface pro in a variety of ways; from lesson planning to having the screen on the table for small group teaching! Startup - Fast!! Battery - Dies quickly if you use it constantly (have a charger for your travels) Screen quality - Sharp and dynamic. If you're looking for a versatile machine, you should definitely consider this machine! The i5 model drains battery a little slower, so if you're willing to sacrifice power for more battery, consider that model. Cheers, Rhys.
