Are they napkins, yes. Are the square … nope. The seams are not straight- more like a rhombus shape. I bought 4 packs and there were varying textures and did not feel like cotton. When you look at the label on them it says they are a cotton blend … some feel a bit plasticky. Also where they connect them with the plastic tag has left holes in them, so each have 4 little holes in them from the outset. There are also a few that look a little threadbare. Wont be buying these again wouldn’t recommend
