A fine machine
Had reservations about investing (in my 4th MBP so far), but pleased with purchase. Liking the Touch Bar (I was surprised, thought I would hate it) and Touch ID, keyboard is nice to use. The usb c ports are not a big issue, I just use an all in one adapter to connect to usb and SD cards etc and the benefit of that is I only need to connect one lead when I am at my desk - rather than plugging in loads of separate stuff. Logic Board Failure
After only 18 months use, only at home and even not hardworking! No dusty environment none smoking… it just won’t starting up! Apple genius bar diagnoses logic board damaged and it’s not repairable so need to be replaced. One year manufacturer warranty is finished and as it’s not bought directly from apple the repair cost is on customer! Which is about £800. So a £2.300£ MacBook doesn’t work even for 2 years! Really disappointing… I got it on Jul 2020, it was the second latest model and based on reviews one of the best machines in the market! But my own experience is totally the opposite! I researched from some Mac repair specialists and they say it’s not even a rare issue with this model, so it’s common and Apple has not confirmed that as a manufacture issue yet!
