This ebayer is lying in their description saying it’s soft close , well it’s not , when I received my toilet seat and it did not close softly I contacted them. It took an age for them to reply . They offered me not even a third of the price as a refund and also said there wash mistake in their advertisement and they would change it immediately. Guess what?? They have not and are still selling it as soft close. Avoid at all cost these items are cheap and rubbish and the seller lies !!

It is an "OK" product - a bit flimsy, The "swivel" feature is a completely unnecessary feature and only adds to its flimsiness, I believe most buyers would have rather exchanged that feature for an overall more solid construction. However, it does the job and for the money I can't really complain. Careful what you wish for.
Twice now since getting this stand, I nearly smashed my laptop to the ground as it is so damn flimsy and part of the pieces that hold it up broke, making it exceptionally unsteady. I have since superglued to prevent falling out of slots but have to be very careful at all times as it is just thin plastic.Does, when used properly, provide a raised platform for laptop and does allow ventilation and that is why I gave in with an okay 3 stars. The worst thing I ever tried
I really know it because of the price, but this think; this think was on the rubbish bin in less than 5 min. If you have a 15'' laptop you are not able to use it, and if your laptop is more than 2KG tha base will fall al the time with his consequences (100% chances to brake the HDD if is it mechanical) Not recomended, really; not recomended at all.

does size matter?
Thought this was well made and well priced. It said that it was suitable for all laptop sizes ,mine is a 17" screen and it feels a bit unstable ,so much so that I am not using it . Has anyone else had this problem or am I doing something wrong?

it collapses when you touch it & that's before yo rest the laptop on it, I was bought one similar 4 years ago from a garage & that was much better, the only reason I bought this one was the previous one was so sturdy (I dropped that one) so I foolishly thought thi would be as good. Waste of money.
