Kid Icarus Uprising is a wonderfull game for fans of action adventure and rail shooters alike, the story revolves around Pit, an angel who, unfortunatley, can't fly. But with the help of his godess Palutena, flying is easy, for 5 minutes though, because afterwards his wings burn out. Pit's mission revolves around taking down Medusa, the evil snake godess, and her crew of minnions, while surronded with well written, funny dialouge. The game looks great! The colors are a perfect mix of bright, dark, happy, creepy, all in service of the story and with a great anime-esque polish. The gameplay is addictive, starting with rail-shooting baddies to epic battles on foot, to extatic boss battles, heavily recomended with the stand that's packged with the game. But it has a major flaw, it will only last you about 15-20 hours, and has little replayablitty, so if you're looking for a long epic, you need to look elswhere.Read full review
Simply one of my favourite games of all time. The controls are a tiny bit hard to adjust to but all I have to say to that is "git gud". Once you have the controls working for you, it's very reactive. The story is quite good and builds off of the original Kid Icarus storyline which you should at least read up on from some wiki or whatever but the comedy value of this game is through the roof. The gameplay switchs between on-rails flight segments a bit like your star fox games and ground segments which offers a different sense of challenge. I would say more but you really just try the game because I would prefer if you were to just enjoy it and I also don't want to spoil anything.
