Bought this one purely for tapering head. Many seedlings or plugs get lost in hole made by my ancient rounded wooden one. Didn't expect much, as the price was low, thought it would be coming from China! Saw it was UK based & ordered it. I was so wrong - it's well made, makes a smooth hole to the depth needed also light weight. Delivery was fast & it was well packed. I have seen similar for sale at a much higher price, not so well finished. A frequent fault I have noticed on others I have seen, has been the seam on the metal & the wooden shaft/handle have uneven spots - perfect for splinters & cuts. Get what you pay for
For the money it's an okay tool. A bit thin and not particularly well put together. It's not very sturdy and will probably last only a few years. It's thinner than it looks in its picture. So, recommended unless you are needing a dibber for really heavy continuous work.

Just the job to help rid my lawn red ants.
Just push the dibber in to the middle of the lawn ant nest to the length of the metal spike then twist remove fill the hole left with ANTSTOP granules leave for it to do it's job very soon ant's eradicated. This advice given to me by a lawn care specialist. Wonderful.
