Wasn't sure what I was doing, so I emailed Ellesar before I bought the dye to ask his advice and received a very prompt and informative reply. Parcel arrived with free fixative, full instructions and recycled packaging, nice! My velvet curtains are now a lovely shade (lighter than hoped for but I had been warned, you take your chances with fabrics of unknown fibre content) so I couldn't be happier. I will definitely use them again.
