A good book hard to get into at the start, but it picks up!
I love to read anything about Auschwitz and Birkenau having visited there a few years back. It left me heartbroken seeing the pictures of many of the young ones on the walls, along with the date of arrival and the date they died. These were often only weeks or months apart. This is a slightly different look, as these were being kept alive but still living in awful deprivation. I’m not finished it yet but I feel it’s getting better and will be a memorable book.
