Simple and Easy to Use, Perfect for Pensioners!
My granddad loves this phone, it's simple to use with big buttons and a long battery life. One of the greatest things is the speed dial! Perfect for him! The only things I would say is that it's tad tricky to set up for someone who's not used to modern technology and inserting the sim can be a tad fiddly, so I would suggest someone perhaps younger, like a son or granddaughter, setting it up. The other thing is that my granddad would have had some trouble holding down the unlock button each time he had to use the phone (very simple, I know), so I went to the instruction manual to turn the 'unlock' function off - it wasn't in there. I did eventually find the setting and surprisingly it was in the 'display settings' instead of the 'unlock settings', so I would take care to remember as ... Phone arrived with a small amount of battery life. It would not charge, neither on cradle or directly to phone. Set up was not particularly easy, especially not for someone elderly. Its functionality was not straight forward and therefore in my opinion not at all the phone for an elderly person. Panic button at the back of the phone gives off a very loud alarm that doesn’t turn off unless the designated person receiving message to make contact answered the distress message, did not have the option to turn off the alarm and wait for contact and allow you to use phone if so required. Not user friendly whatsoever. It was not purchased for a one time use of the panic button.Phone arrived with a small amount of battery life. A 'phone for the elderly as it should be, not a pocket computer.
A good little phone for those of advancing years with eyesight or hearing problems. It is fairly easy to get the hang of things even if one is not 'phone savvy. It looks good, is lightweight and fits comfortably in the breast pocket. It is easy to press the numbers and make a call. It is what a 'phone should be, not a pocket computer for the young of today. The only minus points are that the battery doesn't hold its charge overnight even if it isn't turned on, and the choice of ring tones is very limited. It certainly does what it says on the tin. A phone for the elderly! It's a pity one of the ring tones doesn't sound like an old fashioned 'phone and the battery charge lasted a bit longer.A good little phone for those of advancing years with eyesight or hearing problems.
