The items were listed under the wrong size. Since they were for a child, this meant they would be useless for at least a year. I messaged the seller. 3 days later she replied, saying that since they were cheap that perhaps I should roll the sleeves up. I doubt it was intentional but that doesn't matter all that much when your money has been wasted because of seller error.
