    A superb, large value for money reference history and art book

    An amazing and creatively inspiring book, written with warmth and intelligence by an expert in this field who has taught at colleges. It covers the history and pioneering figures of this newly-emerging art form from the 19th Century to the modern digital age; the editorial layout is superb - good old Dorling Kindersley (who have transformed reference publications over the last few decades into sheer objects of beauty) giving space for the new technological camera innovations as well as examples of the starling creative techniques and ideas that various photographers came up with.
